MLB Edge ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: name and email address collected via Google OAuth when you sign in
  • Email address if you subscribe to our free email digest
  • Bet log entries you manually record in the dashboard
  • Payout request details (payment method and payment handle/address) if you participate in the referral program

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits, referring URLs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
  • Referral tracking cookies set when you visit via a referral link (30-day TTL)
  • Analytics data: page views, session duration, and feature usage (aggregated, not personally identifiable)

Information from third parties:

  • Payment information processed by Stripe — we receive only a Stripe Customer ID and subscription status; we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or billing address
  • Authentication data from Google OAuth — we receive your name, email, and Google account ID

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

  • Session cookie: A signed JWT cookie used to keep you logged in. Required for the Service to function. Expires when you log out or after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Referral cookie (`mlb_ref`): Set when you visit via a referral link. Stores only the referral code. Expires after 30 days. Used to attribute your subscription to the referrer.
  • Local storage: Used to store UI preferences such as sidebar width and dismissed banners. Not transmitted to our servers.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, but this will log you out of the Service.

  • Signed and encrypted session cookies (JWT with secret key)
  • Database access restricted to server-side code only
  • Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe — we never handle raw card data
  • Passwords are not used — authentication is via Google OAuth only

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
